General Information
Bethel Elementary School has been a resource of Christian education in the Bedford Stuyvesant community for over sixty years. Professional staff members hold credentials from both Atlantic Union and New York State agencies. Nestled in a caring and nurturing environment, the academic program addresses Kindergarten through Grade 5. Bible is among the core subjects. Music, Health, Physical Education, Computer Technology and Foreign Language are taught on all levels. The school participates annually in competition with local sister institutions in the Spelling Bee, Bible Bowl, Science Fair and Music Festival.
The Bethel School desires to be a beacon in its community as it prepares the whole student — mentally, physically, spiritually and socially. To be of service in this world and for greater joy and wider service in the world to come.
School Administration hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except Fridays when the school closes at 2:00 p.m.
